The Arsenal

The Arsenal is a product of the SFCC’s intensive comedy training and San Francisco’s finest response to tofu, political correctness and artificial insemination. A weapon of mass dysfunction, see why killing is business as usual with the Arsenal every Friday night at 8pm at the Clubhouse.

Anatoly Brantvein Melissa Gans Bruce Maez Malcolm Grissom
Not your typical Russian cab driver, Anatoly Brantvein has been in this country for just a few years and has loved every moment of living in this paradise of “capitalistic pigs!” He likes to talk about his crazy customers, his family, especially his 5-year-old daughter and strange ways of the American government.
Born hard-of-hearing and opinionated, Melissa Gans loves to share funny stories about her life to friends, family and most notably, people in elevators or the express line. Smart, passionate and often sarcastic, Melissa likes to play with words, beliefs, people and golden retrievers.  A Bay Area native, she’s hosted, produced and performed in several local comedy shows.

Bruce Maez has been making people laugh since he went down to the San Jose Improv to watch the "Battle of the Bay" contest. A year later, he made it to the second round in the contest. Bruce has been sharing stories about his life, including his struggles with addiction, driving and using a vacuum at Bay Area comedy clubs, theatres and private parties.

The Spirit of Hawaii is the foundation of Malcolm’s Grissom’s clean, playful and organic humor. Malcolm’s compassionate; honest; and trustworthy. He’s the life of the party. He’s the go-to guy. He’s the underdog. He’s the guy that people root for because they know he’s rooting for them. He emphasizes the importance of being present in the moment. And the joy that can be found in the gifts and sorrows of life.

Ali Mafi Rich Stimbra Jason Clause
At only 20, Ali is part of the new blood in the SF Comedy Scene. Born in Tehran, Iran, and raised in San Francisco, Ali brings several unique and hilarious points of view to the American stand up comedy table. He has performed all over the Bay Area including the San Jose Improv, Rooster T Feathers, and Sams in Tiburon. Described as a laugh riot by most, and unforgettable by all, Ali is a comedian to watch. Assistant director and beloved booker of the San Francisco Comedy College, Rich Stimbra has been performing stand-up comedy since birth. Actually, after a few too many one-handed claps in the womb, his mother put a stop to that nonsense. It’s only recently that Rich has taken his wacky, infectious sense of humor to the stage, performing stupid human tricks and talking about his life. Jason’s got an opinion about everything.  He can’t understand why it takes people so long to put cream and sugar in their coffee.  He’s afraid that one day his girlfriend might actually talk him to death.  He wonders what moron made his boss “the boss”.  Jason even has opinions about his opinions and he has to share them or he’s afraid his head might explode.
