One-on-One Comedy Training  

If you want personal attention, have a strict road schedule or feel you would excel in a private sessions, we offer you one-on-one training in multiple flavors:
 

Onsite at the SFCC

Dependant upon the duration for which you commit, we provide a combination of personal writing and performance sessions, group classes, stage time at Rooster T Feathers, the SFCC Clubhouse or some of our other performance venues and video reviews.

We suggest you come in Wednesday through Sunday but we work with whatever you commit to.

Your Instructor will be Kurtis Matthews. However, Joe Klocek may teach if Matthews is on the road.

You will need to do some prep before you get to town and we would appreciate you bringing all audio, video and written material with you. We may ask for you to send your materials before you get to town.

Estimated cost - $200 per day. Call for specifics.

Take us on the Road

If you are too busy with your one person show or your speaking or road schedule, we can come to you. We travel to your gig location and work face to face with you and your act or speech. We know that the road can be hard but your days can and should be spent working on your craft. We watch you live, videotape you and review onsite. During the day, we generate new material, tweak your performance weaknesses and work with any other issues that you might bring to us.

Estimated Cost - Air, Hotel and $300 per day. Call for specifics.
(Bay Area or San Diego Performances if we are in town are $200)

Distance Learning

We start with a phone or email consultation to tailor a program that works for you. We believe that performance in front of a crowd for speakers or comedians is much more important than material. Therefore, we request live video via 'Netmeeting' or like technology or videotape of prior performances. Notes and direction are given via phone and email. As an added feature, your tape can be viewed by our SF pro classes. So, in addition to a quality teaching staff, you get many working comedy minds providing you with new material and useful feedback. It's like being in class while you sit at home and eat chips.
