Pro Class
The San Francisco Comedy College (SFCC) is proud to announce its newest
offering, The Pro Class! You will not find another 3 headliner class anywhere
else in America.
If you are a working opener or better at local* or national clubs and need help
with the next steps on your journey to becoming a nationally recognized
headliner or just like the idea of having a staff of writers/coaches like Leno,
Letterman, Ferguson, Kimmel, Stewart, then this weekly class is for you.
Taught by all three headliners and stand-up teachers Doug Ferrari, Joe Klocek
and SFCC CEO Kurtis Matthews, this ongoing weekly workshop brings both the
collective wisdom of over 50 combined years in the business and first-hand
experience of the current trends in the industry to its participants.
In this class, you will receive:
- Weekly act tweaks, notes and new material
- Paid bookings
- Booker contact info and notes on each
- Tips on creating an effective promo package
- Help with negotiating with agents, managers and who they are
- Management of non-comedy related challenges
- Structure that will keep you accountable for your career
Class is limited to 12 participants who regularly work at comedy clubs, private
gigs and corporate events. No new comedians will be invited to participate
until one of the original 12 move on. Regularly work means that you have
appeared at a club and have been paid by the establishment more than once and
you have good booker and comedian references.
Classes are Monday afternoons at 4pm to accommodate road schedules. Classes
begin Monday, January 22nd and continue indefinately.
