San Francisco Comedy College Comes to Santa Cruz
Actors’ Theatre of Santa Cruz to host Stand-up Comedy Showcase

San Francisco (March 8, 2004) The San Francisco Comedy College (SFCC), one of the finest stand-up comedy schools in America has selected the Actors’ Theatre of Santa Cruz as its newest venue on the Central Coast. Graduates of the SFCC represent some of the best talent in the Bay Area and regularly perform at comedy clubs in San Francisco and San Jose. Beginning, April 4th, the SFCC will showcase these performers every Sunday night at 9 PM at the Actors’ Theatre.

“We’re thrilled to have found this new home,” said Kurtis Matthews, SFCC founder. “The Santa Cruz community has always been good to us, and we look forward to spending our Sunday nights here.” In addition to shows, the SFCC will also begin stand-up comedy classes at the Actor’s Theatre, starting with a free intro class on April 4th at 6 PM.

“The SF Comedy College will be our great new friend,” said John Patterson of the Actors’ Theatre. “Since 1985, we’ve launched so many innovative shows. “New audiences will come to see the SFCC comedians. Since every Sunday night will be different as well as fun, they’ll keep coming back.”
