SAN FRANCISCO COMEDY COLLEGE INTRODUCES “KIDS’ COMEDY CAMP”
Children learn stand-up and improvisation comedy in new summer camp
The San Francisco Comedy College, one of America’s finest and most innovative
stand-up comedy schools, is proud to offer “Kids’ Comedy Camp,” a weeklong
session of stand-up and improvisation comedy camp for children ages 11-18 from
Monday, June 27 to Friday, July 1, 2005. The camp will be held at the SFCC
Clubhouse, a fresh workshop and performance space located at 414 Mason St. #705
near Union Square in San Francisco.
During the daily sessions from 9:30am to 12pm, camp participants will learn how
to feel at ease on stage, develop and share their unique point of view, write
jokes and put together a comedy set. Students will also learn to create
storylines and characters through collaborative improvisational games. Class
exercises are designed to foster creativity in a supportive environment.
“We’re very excited about helping kids be funny on stage,” says San Francisco
Comedy College founder Kurtis Matthews.
Admission is $275. Class size is limited, so please call the SFCC at (415)
921-2051 or email richsfcc@yahoo.com to reserve your spot.
