SFCC’s teen stand-up comedy class is ideal for kids who have lots to say and think they’re funny! We welcome all class clowns, wise guys / gals, and teens who just can’t stop binge-watching comedy specials on Netflix. Our Teen Stand-Up Class provides students a safe place to discover their “voice,” while they grow to be comfortable in front of an audience, learn basic joke structure and set construction. While we encourage our young students to be constructive, we do not censor their language or content choices providing they stay within the guidelines of our SFCC's collaborative culture for all comedians. This six week session will conclude with each student performing a three minute stand-up set via Zoom, videos will be provided. In addition to stand-up classes, our teens have the opportunity to participate in our community of working stand-up comedians, writing jokes, analyzing stand-up shows, and performing at SFCC open mics.
