I love the San Francisco Comedy College. Right now, it's the only venue that comes close to recreating the magic of the ‘Holy City Zoo' and Matthews is producing today's comedy stars of the future. |
I've worked with Kurtis Matthews' students and his gifts as a teacher are on display in their work. They have great comfort on stage, they have material that is funny, tightly written and original. They are distinctive personalities on stage and they communicate a love for stand-up. All of these attributes are a testimony to Kurtis's prowess as a teacher. I recommend him wholeheartedly. |
.. I was excited to meet the group of folks who are involved with the San Francisco Comedy College. They are a very passionate group of people with their hearts and minds in the right place. I was skeptical before I met Kurtis Matthews and his comedians...and came away very impressed and inspired. If only there were more institutions like the SF Comedy College....there'd be less room for the hacks and empty-rhetoric comics that permeate the stand-up world today." |
